2 Generation Estate Sale in Hikes Point


This week's 2 Generation Estate Sale in Hike's Point will be Friday & Saturday, March 2-3 (9am-4pm). This is a full house, with a great variety of items, from antiques to vintage to modern. This sale is in the warm indoors (except the garage) and has loads of great deals and fun and practical treasures!

This full house has kitchen items, washer & dryer, furniture, sewing machines and craft supplies, boxes of elementary teacher supplies & books through chapter books, vintage and antique hardbound books, plus sized ladies clothing, 2 bedroom suits, living room furniture, dining room furniture, chairs, dressers lots of linens, bakeware, glassware, several sets of dishes & china, serving pieces, an oil lamp collection, a fleet of walkers & 2 wheelchairs, garden decor and supplies, tools, golf clubs & supplies, office supplies, cosmetics, purses, shoes, ephemera, costume jewelry, lamps, horserace / jockey / Derby items, luggage, and more .

Furniture: Living room couch, 4 different coffee tables, several occasional tables, occasional chair, ottoman, 2 bedroom suits with complete queen beds, 3 extra dressers in different styles, Dining room: unusual large round drop leaf table, 4 brace back Windsor chairs, classic china hutch dish cabinet,  general: 4 antique cushioned chairs. Tell City rocking chair, other rocking chairs, various lamps, including MCM, vintage, free-standing office/desk, classic.  

Two sewing machines, one stand alone in case, one in a beautiful wood furniture base with drawers, sewing boxes with supplies, batting, some fabric, yarn collection, scrapbooking supplies, and more. 

Kitchen items: Several sets of dishes and china, glassware, cast iron skillets, skillet with lid, cast iron muffin baker, 2 sets of Revere ware saucepans, skillets & fry pans with lids, sets of drinking glasses, Pyrex, both vintage and modern, casseroles and bowls, some with lids in orange, green, white. Fire King bakeware, electric wok, 2 slow cookers, several electric appliances, nice small white microwave, kitchen cart with butcher block top and wire drawers, 2 Large Sets of stainless flatware (Oneida, etc.), lots of kitchen supplies, utencils,  gadgets, sets of covered bowls. salt & pepper shakers, freezer storage containers. 

Servingware: Platters, including Fiesta and other brands, every glass serving piece I can think of (;-) , a large punch bowl w/cups, aluminum serving pieces, silverplate items.

Decor: Several wall mirrors (modern, vintage, antique), 2 large wall stars (gold, red), Fenton hobnail milk glass, milk glass butter dish, Small decorative boxes, flower vases, frogs for floral arangements, planter pots, garden decor.

Linens include Single bed, Full bed and Queen bed sheets, vintage coverlets & comforters, a modern but looks antique Tommy Hilfiger quilt,  blankets, towels for kitchen and bath, table cloths, handkerchiefs, crocheted afghan, shower curtains, etc.

Clothing & shoes: Collection of Ladies shoes mostly size 10, Womens plus size clothing 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, including pants, jeans, skirts, tops, bras, etc., Vintage Doctor Dr. surgical gown with cuffs, baby boy and baby girl clothing. Also a vintage "Redskins" local high school letter jacket (owner graduated in 1962).

Books & Papers: Yearbooks from 1970s U of L and local high school, 1st ed. Little Women 1922, other 1st edition books and vintage & antique books, a tiny old hymnal, Bibles, coffee-table books about Kentucky, a great collection of childrens' books (including sets) for preschool through chapter book level. Little House on the Prairie, Frog & Toad, and several others. There is also a laminator machine, and more.

Costume jewelry, Cosmetics, blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, etc. 

Also there are some pocket knives, WW2 papers / ephemera and other little fun treasures. We look forward to seeing you at this sale!

Directions to 3639 Windward Way:  

From Hike's Lane at St. Michael's Eastern Orthodox Church:  Take Furman Blvd. Take first Left at Allison Way. Drive 3 blocks and turn Left on Windward Way. House is on the right.

From Taylorsville Rd. at the 264 Watterson Ex., turn onto Furman Blvd (it's just east of the 264). Drive 3 blocks on Furman to Kelly Way, turn Right. Then drive 1 block to Allison Way, turn Left. Drive 1 block to Windward Way, turn Right. The house is on the right.
